Now is the time …

The RN to BSN program is welcoming students who are interested in being a part of the Olivet College family aimed to provide a supportive environment for professional learners. It’s about more than just earning a bachelor’s degree; it’s also about being part of a community that is committed to being more and doing good.

This distinctive, relationship-based program is designed for students who have completed an associate’s degree in nursing (ADN) and who currently hold licensure in the state of Michigan as a registered nurse (RN).

The RN-BSN program is designed to provide a balance of evidence-based delivery models to assure that students feel supported through their family-work-life responsibilities, while learning and earning a bachelor of science in nursing degree.

The baccalaureate degree program in nursing at Olivet College is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. (http://www.ccneaccreditation.org.) Approved by the Higher Learning Commission.

Temporary Admission for ADN graduates unable to complete NCLEX

As an accommodation for ADN nursing program graduates who will be unable to take their NCLEX exam for the foreseeable future and therefore unable to earn their nursing licensure, Olivet College is temporarily suspending the requirement for nursing licensure as an admission requirement for its RN-BSN program and admit students who have successfully earned their associates in applied science in nursing degree.

Students will be allowed to take courses throughout the RN-BSN Program with the expectation that before the completion of the program the student will have passed their NCLEX and be a licensed registered nurse.

Olivet College has been approved by Michigan to participate in the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements. NC-SARA is a voluntary, regional approach to state oversight of postsecondary distance education. At this time, California is not a SARA approved state; consequently, we will not be accepting students that live in California until further notice or approval is granted.
